Bombshell Blog Hop

Welcome to the June Bombshell Blog Hop!!!  This month's theme is Boy Toy!!!!

Here is what our lovely Kas had to say about the theme that she set this month:
Time for being hot...it's summer!

So what's the deal with a "Boy Toy" bloghop.

Well, it's dedicated to the men in our lives.

Doesn't have to be a boyfriend or husband..... maybe a soldier, a father, or just a masculine theme or card.

Bombshell stamps have always been great for "manly" things, but now more than ever.

Just think about the new digi clothes stamps for the Bombshell Angel. The policeman, fireman, etc... they are GREAT for sending out that perfect card.

AND MAN...the new motorcycle stamps !!!

Perhaps your project will just use masculine colors...maybe a great Father's Day project.
Here is the prize for this month:

So, I thought what better way to have that Bombshell Boy Toy than to use the Sugar Daddy stamp set from Bombshell Stamps!  This set is awesome!  There are so many things to do with it.  I made this card to send to my husband as he is deployed right now.  So I started with SU cardstock in Vanilla for the base and whisper white to stamp "Sugar Daddy" himself on!!!  He is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Prisma Color Pencils.  This is the first time in a while that I used my pencils as I am addicted to my copics, thought that he needed that "rougher" look.  The patterened paper is a double sided paper from TPC Studio, part of their School Days/Numbers line. The PP is ripped and then edged with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Weatherd Wood.  So enjoy and off you go to see what everyone else has created!!!! Thanks for joining us this month and I am looking forward to seeing you next month!

So now off to see what everyone else has made! Enjoy the hop!

Smeared Ink New Release blog hop

Hello lovelies and welcome to the Smeared Ink New Release Blog hop.  Today my awesome friends (including myself) from the Smeared and Smudged DT along with the owners of Smeared Ink Terra and Tori are hosting a blog hop to showcase their new releases.  They have 3 new sets starting today that are totally awesome.  The first is The Symbology of Angels which is the set from which the image we are showcasing for you today comes from!
The Second set to be released is Teen Style Sayings!  I think it is totally RAD!!!
The Third set we being released is called Teen Style Backgrounds.  Totally love this one too as it fits right in with my teen and pre teen!
The image we are showing today is called Praise from the Symbology of Angels set.  I fell in love with him when Terra and Tori show the sets to us!  I knew what I wanted to do with him right away!  I wanted him to be a "Fallen" Angel.
The first thing I did was take white cardstock from SU and wet it so that I could crinkle it to give the background some texture.  While waiting for that to dry I placed the image on white cardstock and very lightly colored him in shades of gray.  Then I tore the edges around him and mounted him on gray cardstock from SU as well and tore around that also, and repeated with one more layer of white.  Now I have to admit I am not a very patient person when it comes to waiting soooooo I took my heating gun to the crinkled white paper to help it along.  Once it was finished I used Time Holtz distress ink in Black Soot and rubbed it over the raised parts of the crinkled paper to give it some depth.  Then tore and ripped holes in to the entire piece until it looked like I wanted, like broken glass.  I mounted that piece onto black cardstock(SU) and then mounted my angel on top of that.  I used liquid glue for this so that when it dried I would have "chunks of broken glass" all over the card.  I used a crackle effect on the angle to make him "shattered".  Simple, yet not.  I hope you enjoy.

Now head on over and visit everyone elses blogs and see the many different ways to use this set!

Not for the Timid FHF challenge #3

Over on Friends Having Fun there is a new color challenge. My lovely friend Alison has issued challenge #3 and wants you to use Hot Pink, Lime Green, and Plum Crazy!  Very cool color combo if you ask me!  Makes me think of my days when I wanted to be Cyndi Loper!!!  AHHHHH  Love those days!  So I thought, what can I do to make these colors more me, cause as you all know I'm not a pink and purple girl, green bring it on though!!!  So I took the Carnies set from Smeared Ink and used that with the color combo.  It freakin turned out cool if I do say so myself!!!

I used SU cardstock, memento Ink in tuxedo black, and my copics.  Some ultra thick embossing powder, a little purple and diamond stickles, some black distress ink and water here and there and surprise, 2 brand new cards for me!!!!!!!!!   Remember to check out the FHF Challeng #3.  Also Smeared Ink to see what fabulous new stamp sets they have!

Just Had To!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BBCS#5, S and S June Sketch

So the other day I was looking around on Haunted Design House and saw  this Busy Beauties Boutique,  so I click on it thinking what does it hurt.  Well Oh My Hell  was what I thought!  I so couldn't wait to play with what I was seeing on this site!  So I purchased 3 of their digi stamps and when I got them there was a free one with it as a thank you for my purchase!  I couldn't wait to start playing, but couldn't figure out which one I wanted to play with first, so I played with all of them.  I love them all.  So here they are all four of my creations!  I so can't wait to get more!!!!!

So this little beauty is called the Mad Scrapper!  Now I am not much of a scrapper but I love the mad Hatter and I just so happend to be watching Alice in Wonderland right before my purchase!!!!!  She was my purple mood for the day!  She is also used for my Smeared and Smudged Sketch Challenge.
Now we have, Victorian Marionette.  I couldn't let her go by, she just looks so helpless and freaky cute.
Now we have Victorian Beauty, she I couldn't pass up either.  There was just something about her that said buy me buy me!  So I made her a true vintage lady traveling !
Those were the 3 that I purchased and here is Sweetheart Lolita who was given to me!  AAAANNNNNDDDDDD  if you know me at all you know I didn't make her a sweetheart!!!! More of a punkheart!  Look at that hair! This card I also combined with a sketch.  It's the sketch from this months Bombshell Sketch Challenge, although I didn't use a bombshell I loved the sketch very much!
So I hope you enjoyed my trip down Just had to Lane!  I know I did, and as always you can click on any picture to see a larger image!

Spooky Shadow Thingys Oh My!!

It's time again for Macabre Monday on Haunted Design House and this week they are all about Siniser Shadows! So I thought what a great opportunity this would be for me to use my Shadow Thingys set from Smeared Ink. I freaking love those little thingys!!! LOL I wanted my card to look like it was a shadowy window, maybe old and broken and your not quite sure if your seeing what you think your seeing, so I took velum and stamped my images on it with Stazon jet black. Then I used ultra thick embossing powder to give it a glazed look. On one part of the velum I embossed with the ultra thick powder 3 times so that I could crack it to make a "broken window". Then the whole thing is mounted on basic gray cardstock from SU. It's fairly simple, but looks like I worked on it forever to make the cracks!!! So check out my card below and then head on over to Haunted Design House but hurry this weeks Theme ends Sunday!!!!!

Greeting Farm Blog Hop S&S style

Hello my lovelies, I am so happy that you have joined us today for the Greeting Farm blog hop Smeared and Smudged Style! I want to send out a big major thank you to the Greeting Farm for allowing us to use their images.  They are awesome! We were given the opportunity to pick which image we wanted to play with and I picked an image called Royal Pain.  She is so freaking cute it's not even funny, but of course those of you who know me know I don't do cutesy sooooooo, I guess you could say I did pain in my ass teenage "cute" if there is such a thing.  Let's just say I modeled her after my daughter, her favorite colors, favorite hair colors out of all the ones she has had!!! I am pretty sure I even put some of her attitude into the picture!!  I am also using this card for the Smeard and Smudged Guest DT member challenge for June.  You can find it here.  I made my card using SU cardstock Taken with Teal and Whisper white.  Ms. Pain is stamped with memento on the white and colored with copics.(#'s E00, R29, YR07, 100, BG09)  I used the same color over and over to shade on this card!  Then I took another piece of white cardstock to make the background that she is "floating"on.  I used a watercolor technique with regular cardstock, water, and Tim Holtz distress reinkers Fired Brick, Spiced Marmalade, and Broken China.  I love the outcome.  Now honestly I have to admit that I stopped there and pop dotted Ms. Pain on the card and left her be.  Then when I came back I thought to myself, now why the hell would you show something like that!!!    I mean honestly it wasn't very pretty! BUTTTTTTTT for the life of me I couldn't figure out what else to do! So I took a picture of it and shot it off in a text to our lovely Ms Alison so she could help me get past my creators block!!!  And she did and I have to thank her very much cause she is so freaking awesome it isn't even funny!!!!!!!!!!   MWAH Ladybird!  She gave me the stickle swirly idea so that is what I did, I took the Tim Holtz distress stickles in Orange Peel, Broken China(I love love love this color), and Xmas Red and made little swirly's on the background!!!!  Love it!  I printed out the words Royal Pain and then added them to the top covering them with some Close to my Heart Liquid Glass!

What do you think?

So now you should have come from Alison's blog to get to mine so head on over to Tori's blog to check out her wonderful creation and continue this hop.  Make sure you head on over to The Greeting Farm Blog when you are done seeing what everyone created for a chance to win prizes!!!

Halloween Vintage Style

So over on a little blog called Haunted Design House there is a little challenge called Macabre Monday!  I totally love this blog and participate whenever I can, which quite honestly has not been much lately, but I could not let this one go without trying it out!  I love Halloween and I love Vintage so why not!!!  This was a perfect challenge for me!  The base of my card is SU card stock black.  My decorative papers is from PinkPaislee part of the Twilight collection.  I tore the edges of the DP and distressed with Tim Holtz distress inks in Spiced Marmalade and Antique Linen.   The saying is part of the decorative paper, did I mention it is double sided, gotta love those double sides. Then I sponged a little Walnut Ink over the whole thing! The little girl is a stamp I received from a friend of mine.  I am not sure where she came from but I love her.   Hope you enjoy!

Smeared and Smudged Member Blog Hop

Hello my lovelies the time has come for the Smeared and Smudged Member blog hop for June!  I am so excited about this as I got to use my new set Killer Bo Peep for my project!  Unfortunatly there is only one picture as the camera died before I could get more snapped!!!! ERGG.

Anyway this months theme was open, meaning we could do whatever we wanted to do as long as there was a stamped image somewhere on the project.  I chose to make another tag using my new Killer Bo Peep set!  She is so freaking awesome it isn't even funny!  Check her out over at Smeared Ink

I used a lightweight chipboard along with decorative paper and paint to create my background.  I then used my copics to color Peep and her counterparts in some freaky cool bright colors. Stampin Up cardstock and some fuzzy ribbon round out my lists of ingredients used to make this guy!  I don't know if I love her hair the most or those little mushrooms but whatever it turns out to be I am in love with this set!  Here is my tag...
